I find it interesting that someone who’s so interested in architecture and urban design is promoting a graffiti magazine.
It’s very likely that I simply don’t get it, but I really dislike graffiti. Yes, some of it is interesting and some of it is even beautiful, but it’s usually little more than vandalism in my mind.
Please tell me what I’m missing.
IMHO graf has contributed to modern graphic design. Its influence can be seen all over the place. Work in classic graffiti books like Subway Art is amazing.
I’m interested in design and architecture but I’m also a fan of graffiti/street art. Vandalism it may be – but its an interesting part of the modern urban experience.
Maybe its easier to appreciate if (like me) your a fan of other elements of Hip Hop culture.
