British Actor David Dayan Fisher Will Mesmerize The Art World!
British actor David Dayan Fisher(www.davidfisherart.com) will mesmerize the Art World with a showing on March 24th, 2006 entitled “Dangerous Passions”. Bringing a vivid mixture of delicious color and “touch me” texture to his canvasses, Fisher will bring the viewer into a world of bold emotional strength and spontaneous beauty. The show will open with a “nibbles and wine” reception on the 24th from 5 PM to 11 PM at Melrose Lightspace, 7600 Melrose Avenue, Suite N, Los Angeles, California 90046.
David Dayan Fisher just guest-starred on popular series “Charmed”, “24” with Kiefer Sutherland, and “Numbers” with Rob Morrow. Recent movie credits include “National Treasure” with Nicholas Cage, and “The Librarian” with Noah Wyle. He approaches his artwork the same way as he approaches an acting role, with total spontaneity. “I paint with no concept of what will happen. My work is an occurrence…with only a moment to moment knowledge of what commences in toto. Every squeeze of the [acryllic] tube creates the next squeeze, which creates the next brush stroke. A continuous flow that has no finish until it happens.” Arrogant style, yes? Adventurous at the least.
“Live It And Love It” is the mantra David Dayan Fisher repeats on a daily basis. “Dangerous Passions” is the name of the collection. His canvasses reflect a swaggering haughtiness that dares you to enter a world that is brimming with self-confidence. Dare to feel what he feels, see what he sees, and conquer what he conquers. The Oturl Group, a marketing media consulting team to
clients such as indie musicians, providing services such as streaming media product vendors and the highly popular viral video broadcastings have their hands musically full. Two of their indie rock band clients APE and Los Karma, are currently in heavy competition for the top spot for the most talked about new concert concept to hit in years.
AVALON PROMOTIONS BANDS OF THE WORLD TOUR
APE, an unsigned indie rock band from St. Austell,
Cornwall, has tackled the leadership position of Los
Karma with a full court press Web 2.0 marketing and communications juggernaut vis-a-vis, a volunteer street-team, trying to shake things up in anticipation of the December 1, 2006 final tally, which is only one day away. Los Karma, a ska-punk-rock quartet, from Las Playas de Tijuana is surprisingly soaring into National and International acclaim. All this hoopla from one man’s dream and intense love of music.
Marc Shannon, founder of AVALON PROMOTIONS, lifelong supporter of indie musicians and good ole fashioned rock em , sock em live music venues, envisioned a month long intense musical jam session in some San Diego warehouse with locally known bands: four Domestic Indie Bands from Southern California and four Imports from around the world. Shannon’s plan: Collaborate the Local Indie talents with the International Indie talents and have them perform in a very unusual underground music pressure cooker in a highly intense performance venue.
Local and International skeptics became supporters as the word spread about this brilliant global talent concept. For the final eight spots on this tour, a team of highly dedicated skilled music industry peeps, marketing and communication pros became wildly committed to making Marc’s vision a reality. Their mission: create an unprecedented opportunity for eight unsigned bands and watch these talents transform over the course of a mere month into pro performers with an International fan base and the guts to face their own dreams, leave their comfort zones and head toward a year long world tour. The upshot- AVALON GRAPHIC PROMOTION recently signed a client contract with The Oturl Group based on Los Karma’s widget-marketing vector.
The final four Import bands and the final four Domestic bands will be examined December 1, 2006 after weeks of competition. Over 500 band submissions have entered through myspace. The word spread like wild fire as these eager talents began their serious plans for fans and industry supporters. They began generating overwhelming traffic to AVALON GRAPHIC PROMOTIONS web-based online voting site.
The winners of the final round of AVALON’S “Battle of the Fans” will be invited to rehearse, perform and live in AGP’s converted warehouse/loft venue in San Diego from January 1st through January 31st, 2007 for the kick-off of AVALON PROMOTIONS BANDS OF THE WORLD.
APE has already gotten local press coverage including The Cornish Guardian, The St Austell Voice, Pirate FM, Atlantic FM, and Here And Now Magazine. Ape is even considering “a naked billboard walk through some towns and cities to gain exposure!” A MUSICAL HAPPENING IS OCCURRING!!!
